Arizona credit card debt average increased in October for the second month in a row, to $ 6,339, according to CreditKarma.com’s consumer credit score United States climate report.
Credit card debt average Arizonans ‘ rise from $ 5,922 in August to $ 6,163 in September. The report shows the average consumer has $ 27,851 in student loan debt, $ 16,085 auto loan and $ 183,442 in home mortgages.
National credit card debt declined by 11 percent, to $ 6,600. However, credit card debt went up 1 percent from the previous month.
Average consumers with account has $ 29,096 in student loan debt, $ 15,328 auto credit, $ 174,788 in the home mortgage and $ 47,747 in home equity debt.
“As we head into the holiday season, credit card debt is likely to rise,” said Ken Lin, CEO of CreditKarma. “Consumers need to be aware of the correlation between debt and their credit score. Credit card usage is a major factor in determining a person’s credit score, so bring a big balance can cause it to reduce. “
